Savannah Hills Family Chiropractic :: 770-592-1909

Meet the Doctor: Richard T. Schones, D.C., F.I.C.P.A

I was born in Newport Beach California and raised in Costa Mesa California. I graduated from Costa Mesa High School, where I enjoyed both Football and Baseball. I received my Doctorate in Chiropractic from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1998. Right out of Chiropractic college I went into practice with my cousin and together we owned Broadway Chiropractic in Costa Mesa for fifteen years.

I was first introduced to chiropractic when I was five. I had a list of medical problems such as A.D.D., allergies, asthma, anxiety and bed-wetting. A week was not complete without several trips to the principles office and early dismissals from school for poor behavior related to the A.D.D. I would also be in the nurse’s office due to Asthma symptoms and I was usually sent home. All this for a kindergartner. My mom had been under chiropractic care following a car accident. She liked the gentle and effective care she was receiving and asked the doctor what he thinks she should do for me. She knew she did not want to put me on Ritalin or steroidal inhalers, but did not know any other options. He said; "Lets try adjusting him and see what his body can do". That night was my first full night of sleep in months, I was not sent to the principles office as often, my asthma and allergies never bothered me again and I never wet the bed again. From that day on I knew what I wanted to be. In high school, I had another chiropractor that would keep me healthy, but the main thing was he always had the door open for me. Now I know how I wanted to be. I want to give the gift of health to all through chiropractic and always have my door open.

Currently, I have been married to my best friend and beautiful wife Wendy since December 1997. We have FOUR precious gifts from God, Sarah, Hannah, Emma and Luke. I had the pleasure of delivering Hannah, Emma and Luke to ensure a trauma free birth. Each one was adjusted immediately after birth, and has never had any shots. I am proud to say that the girls have only been on 1 round of antibiotics in their life. Their health is optimal because they get adjusted at least once a week.

We felt led to move out of California and began looking in Georgia in 2013. We felt the Lord guiding us and were able to meet Dr. Alan Anderson here at Savannah Hills Chiropractic and Massage in 2014. We arrived in Georgia at the end of August 2014 and took over Savannah Hills Family Chiropractic in September 2014.
